We chose the Forty-Eight® because we wanted a low custom bike to turn into a mean café-style bobber. We had a pair of 883 Iron-wheels sitting around, that we used for a lighter and different look. Together with our painter we wanted to match up the brass collection H-D accessories that is used on the bike with a color that would be a little different. We went with a paint called “Mocca” and painted some parts matte and tank and side covers in glossy finish. We added racing stripes and our “84” sign, that stands for ProBikes year of birth, H-D:s number in the alphabet and of course “48” backwards! Our partner for leatherwork “Lejonkulan” helped us to upholster the café-style seat that we used, and he chose orange stitching to match the 1970 Sportster tank logo. The clip-on handlebars and rear set foot controls along with the striped visor gives the bike a “racy” look. RSD Tracker exhaust system is added with a bronze exhaust wrap and our handmade stainless heat shield. The stock tank was raised, fender struts were cut off and the ignition coil was relocated with a fabricated bracket.
We at H-D Stockholm really like the result and hope that the audience does too!
